Nissan transforms its booth at the 2024 SEMA Show into a showcase of automotive possibilities, displaying five distinct builds that range from high-performance street machines to adventure-ready platforms. The collection demonstrates the adaptability of Nissan's vehicle platforms through specialized modifications and purpose-built enhancements.
Modified Frontier Takes Two Paths
The 2025 Frontier serves as the foundation for two contrasting project vehicles. The street-focused TARMAC concept pushes performance boundaries with its supercharged 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 400 wheel horsepower. The build features carbon fiber components throughout, including its widebody kit, vented hood, and wheels. Large 15-inch brake rotors and Z NISMO calipers provide stopping power. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the Trailgater concept emphasizes outdoor entertainment. Based on the PRO-4X trim, it combines NISMO Off Road suspension components with built-in entertainment features, including weatherproof displays and outdoor cooking capabilities.
Kicks Platform Shows Its Range
The all-new 2025 Kicks proves its versatility through two distinct interpretations. The Beach Patrol concept builds upon the model's first-ever Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, adding increased ground clearance through a custom suspension setup. NISMO Off Road Ascend wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires enhance its capabilities, while beach-day essentials include integrated shower systems and storage solutions. The Urban Shadow concept takes a different approach, lowering the ride height through custom coilovers and adding street-performance elements like NISMO LM-RS6 wheels and a specialized exhaust system.
Heritage Meets Modern Design
The Z Legend accessory package concept bridges past and present, drawing inspiration from the limited-production Heritage Edition. The package incorporates period-correct styling elements while maintaining modern performance capabilities. A carbon fiber rear spoiler and over-fenders add contemporary flair, while subtle design touches honor Z car heritage, including a specialized emblem representing all seven generations of the sports car.
Performance Upgrades Across the Line
Each project vehicle demonstrates Nissan's commitment to performance through specialized modifications. The TARMAC concept utilizes a Roots-style supercharger and prototype NISMO intake system to achieve substantial power gains. Both Kicks concepts feature model-specific suspension setups, with the Urban Shadow using performance-oriented coilovers for improved handling and the Beach Patrol implementing a lifted suspension for increased capability. Wheel and tire combinations range from the TARMAC's carbon-barrel NISMO wheels to the Kicks Beach Patrol's all-terrain setup, each matched to its intended purpose.
These builds exemplify different aspects of automotive culture, from high-performance street machines to lifestyle-oriented adventure vehicles. Through these modifications, Nissan demonstrates the potential for owners to create vehicles that match their specific interests and requirements.
